Ayam Gulai is Indonesian version for Curry Dish. While the name is for chicken (Ayam) but it may be substitute for Lamb, or even for vegetarian dish by using the young jackfruit. Also, even though it is basically curry which is typically associated with dish with gravy, the paste can also be used to marinate chicken and then grilled. This dish is originally from the province of West Sumatra. To prepare for the dish, user needs to cook coconut milk and a package of this seasoning paste until the coconut milk becomes thickened. Then add chicken/lamb/jackfruit and cook until they becomes oily.
Bumbu Ayam Gulai
What You Need:
•1 lb. of thoroughly washed chicken
•1 Pack of this Hikmah Fajar Seasoning Paste
Four Easy Steps:
1.Cut chicken into few pieces.
2.Mix this seasoning paste with chicken and stir well. Add egg and mix well.
3.Cooked the mix on low heat and then cover the pot. Stir occasionally until the sauce is reduced and well absorbed by the chicken.
4.Fry the chicken in the hot oil until gold brown.
